Director, Mission Services

As Director of Mission Services at Steadfast City, Monica spearheads fund development and structured finance initiatives. In this role, she guides nonprofit, for-profit, and government entities through complex community development challenges, helping them maximize their social impact while ensuring financial sustainability.

Previously, at the Nonprofit Finance Fund, a national community development financial institution, Monica led strategic planning efforts and organizational development initiatives that strengthened nonprofits’ capacity to serve their communities effectively. Her experience also includes leadership roles with the Boy Scouts of America, where she directed the Staten Island scouting program and launched successful city-wide and national initiatives.

Monica’s dedication to social justice and supporting communities is deeply personal, informed by her experience as a DACA recipient and her unwavering commitment to her community. Her approach to community development integrates principles of economic and racial justice, ensuring that development efforts truly serve and center local communities.
